David inquired of the LORD,” Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” (1 Sam 30:8)

Seek – inquire, search for

David inquired of the Lord, because he was dependent on God’s opinion and counsel.

As long as David sought the Lord his life was victorious. Seeking the Lord allows us to make right decisions because seeking the Lord leads to life “For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: ‘Seek Me and live’ “(Amos 5:4)

“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.” (Psalms 9:10)

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)

“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.”(Lam 3:25)

I pray, that we will continue to His face forevermore as we continue to trust in the Lord.
