The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.(Luke 8:24-25).
Faith is confidence or trust in a person, thing, or deity.
The disciples were experiencing a violent storm, while Jesus was sleeping; so they panicked and woke Him up. Jesus asked them “Where is your faith?”. Beloved that question is to us today; the disciples had put their faith in the storm. They were confident that the storm would destroy them instead of putting their faith in God who is taking them safely to their destination. Beloved is your faith in sickness, that it will destroy you, is your faith in your money that it will secure your future, or in your spouse that he or she will always be with you? Beloved do not put your trust in horses and chariots because they subject to fail.
Sickness, poverty, hopelessness, frustration and the storms of life all come to rob our faith; but let us fight the good fight of faith by keep on trusting and believing in God. Jesus told his disciples, “Have faith in God!” (Mark 11:22). Put your trust in Him hold on to His promises.
