“We are the clay, you are the potter; we are the work of your hand”.( Isaiah 64:8)
In Jeremiah 18 God sent Jeremiah to the Potter’s house and demonstrated a few lessons; one of which is:
It takes the power of the Potter to accurately shape and mold our lives; because as clays we cannot do it ourselves. The Potter has a plan and vision of how the vessel should look, so He patiently molds us until we become what He originally intended.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them”. (Eph 2:10)
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”(Phil 1:6)
Although we might not be able to see the finished product in ourselves, God already sees us as finished products. Therefore it is important that we yield ourselves to be continually molded by the Potter.
Beloved we’re not in the hands of “chance” but we are in the hands secure of the Potter who is personally concerned about our lives and desires the best for us. Therefore we can trust the Potter to shape, guide and mold our lives.
